Recently I downloaded an app for my iPhone called Instagram. The best description anyone has come up with is that it's like Twitter but with photos.
You take a photo, apply a filter and upload it. The beauty is that you can follow your friends or just view the public feed - this is generally where you'll see the most interesting pics as unlike Flickr all of these photos have come from mobile phones so they're typically a lot more spontaneous than ones taken with high end SLRs.
In an oldskool way I guess it's more like messing about with your mates and a Polaroid camera than Flickrs "posing with the family for a traditional portrait shot that you need to get developed so it can be handed to grandma at Christmas" type photos.
Having said that, considering that Flickr is the most popular photo sharing site out there the app does let you export your shots to Flickr, which is what I plan to do - my photostream is linked below!
